Okay, it's been a long time since I watched football regularly, so maybe I've forgotten some things about the rules, but: since when does it count as a touchdown when you go along the white line instead of inside it? I thought the feet had to stay on the green part. (Also boggling me: the hand with the ball touches the goal line, so it counts as a touchdown? Not over the line. On it.)

Fsckin Packers.

(And yes, somehow I managed to find out about the first Packers-Bears playoff game in about a billion years in time to turn on a football game for the first time in many years. I think that if you grow up in Chicago, they implant a little emergency beeper to let you know if it happens.)

With hopes that 2011 will be a good year for all. For once.

Indiana's blue on the map. Assuming no last-minute snafu (and it's unlikely), electoral votes will go to Obama, which will make him the first D to get them since 1964.

Those of you who know me know that I'm generally in favor of 3rd-party candidates, but this year I didn't bother pimping for them because I actually like Obama/Biden as a choice. So for the first time in a long time, I'm happy with election results.

But let me repeat: Indiana's blue on the map.
